Blacktop Driver
Blacktop Driver is for truck drivers of motor carriers that use Blacktop. Your carrier creates your account — there is no sign-up in the app.
I can’t sign in
- Enter the phone number your carrier has on file. We text you a 6-digit code.
- No code? Check the number, wait a minute and tap Resend code. Your dispatcher can also see the code.
- The app does not accept your number? Ask your carrier to add or update your phone number.
Location sharing
- While you are Available or On load, the app shares your truck’s location with your carrier’s dispatch, so they can offer loads near you and track the trip.
- Off Duty stops location sharing. You can switch at any time on the Home screen.
- To keep sharing while the app is closed, allow location Always in your phone’s settings. With “While Using” the app shares your location only while it is open.
Notifications
Notifications tell you about new loads near you, messages from dispatch and trip updates. Turn them on in your phone’s settings → Notifications → Blacktop Driver.
Trip documents
On a trip, open Paperwork to photograph or scan the BOL and POD. Documents go straight to your carrier.
Delete your account
In the app: Profile → Delete account. Without the app: see Delete your account.
